Viral Video Sparks Wave of Support for Young Jaspreet Singh's Food Cart
In a heartwarming turn of events, the life of 10-year-old Jaspreet Singh, a young boy who took to selling rolls in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar to support his family after his father's demise, has seen a remarkable transformation. The viral video showcasing his determination and hard work has garnered the attention of notable figures including business magnate Anand Mahindra, AAP MLA Jarnail Singh, and BJP leader Rajiv Babbar, all stepping in to offer their support.

Jaspreet's story began to spread widely after food vlogger Sarabjeet Singh shared a video of him managing a food cart with his 19-year-old cousin Gurmukh Singh. The video highlighted Jaspreet's struggle and his dream of becoming a police officer, capturing the hearts of viewers nationwide. Following the viral spread, Jaspreet and Gurmukh's daily earnings skyrocketed from a modest Rs 400 to an impressive Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000.
Anand Mahindra, touched by Jaspreet's courage and resilience, pledged to support his education. "Courage, thy name is Jaspreet," Mahindra remarked on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his desire to assist with Jaspreet's schooling. The Mahindra Foundation has since made contact with the family to fulfill this promise.
Local political leaders have also come forward to aid Jaspreet and his family. Jarnail Singh, the AAP MLA from Tilak Nagar, has committed to providing a new cart worth approximately 1.5 lakh for Jaspreet's business, along with two LED lights to enhance the cart's visibility—one of which has already been delivered. Meanwhile, Rajiv Babbar of the BJP has generously offered to cover all educational expenses for Jaspreet and his sister Taranpreet Kaur until they complete class 12.
The sudden surge in popularity and support has left Jaspreet both overwhelmed and grateful. He shared his astonishment and happiness at the outpouring of love and support from across the country. His ambition remains steadfast—to serve as a police officer in the future.
Gurmukh expressed deep emotion over the widespread support they have received since the video went viral. He vowed to stand by Jaspreet no matter what, moved by the collective effort to uplift their spirits and financial situation.
The variety of rolls offered by Jaspreet and Gurmukh includes popular choices like chicken, paneer, and seekh kebab rolls—the latter being Jaspreet's personal favorite. This culinary venture not only showcases their entrepreneurial spirit but also brings to light the community's role in supporting young talents facing adversity.
As this story unfolds, it serves as a testament to the power of social media in bringing about positive change in people's lives. The generosity of individuals like Anand Mahindra and local leaders exemplifies how collective action can significantly impact those in need, providing them with hope and opportunities for a better future.
