Wrestler Taken To WFI Chief's Office; Vinesh Phogat Says This Is The Power Of Brij Bhushan
In a significant development, wrestler Sangeeta Phogat was accompanied by woman police officers as the Delhi Police brought her to the official residence of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The purpose of the visit was to reconstruct the incident related to the alleged sexual harassment, according to news agency PTI.
Sources revealed that at 1:30 pm, women officers accompanied Phogat to Singh's official residence in Delhi. The session lasted for about half an hour during which she was asked to recreate the scene and identify the locations where she faced harassment, as reported by PTI.

The ongoing investigation into two cases of sexual harassment against Brij Bhushan Singh, who is also a BJP MP from Kaiserganj, Uttar Pradesh, is being conducted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Delhi Police. The SIT is expected to present its findings in court by the next week, officials disclosed.
So far, the SIT has interviewed over 180 individuals as part of its comprehensive inquiry into the allegations, as per Delhi Police officials.
Prominent wrestlers in India, including Asian Games gold medalist Vinesh Phogat, along with Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia, have been among the protesters demanding the arrest of Singh. The allegations of sexual harassment involve seven female wrestlers, one of whom is a minor.
Vinesh Phogat expressed her frustration with the WFI chief on Twitter, stating, "This is the power of Brijbhushan. He is busy harassing women wrestlers by using his muscle power, political power, and spreading false narratives. His arrest is necessary. If the police arrest him instead of suppressing us, there is hope for justice. Otherwise, not. Women wrestlers visited the crime site for police investigation, but it was falsely portrayed in the media as if they were compromising."
Following their meeting with Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, the protesting wrestlers have decided to suspend their movement until June 15th. Thakur assured them that a charge sheet against Singh will be filed by that date, and WFI elections will be held by the end of this month.
Brij Bhushan Singh currently faces charges in two First Information Reports (FIRs) filed by the Delhi Police in connection with the alleged sexual harassment cases.
