When will Gujarat election 2017 be held: When there are no marriages?
A memorandum was submitted to the Election Commission of India by Parindu Bhagat, the BJP’s legal cell in charge.
When will the Gujarat 2017 election be held? If the Election Commission of India takes the suggestion made by the BJP, then it would be held at a time when there are no marriages.
A memorandum was submitted to the Election Commission of India by Parindu Bhagat, the BJP's legal cell in charge. He suggested that the elections should be held between December 14 and January 14.

This period was suggested since there are no Hindu weddings that take place in the country during this period.
"It is pertinent to note that no marriage ceremonies take place between 14th of December up till 14th of January. This period is not considered appropriate for marriage ceremonies as per Hindu religion.
Therefore, considering this fact, it is requested if the date of the election is considered somewhere between 14th December to 14th January."
Further the memorandum also suggested that the distance between the campaign offices of the political parties and the polling stations should be lessened from 200 to 50 to 100 metres. The memorandum also suggests that the election be celebrated in the form of a festival with maximum participation.
