Weather Alert: Rajasthan Temperature Shoots Up To 46.4 Degrees; IMD Issues 'Yellow Alert' For Delhi Summers

Delhi Weather Alert: Taking cognizance of sizzling temperatures in Rajasthan, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a "yellow alert" for Delhi. The IMD has predicted heatwaves conditions in the upcoming days as Delhi weather report is likely to touch 40-41 degrees. Not just Delhi Maximum temperature but also its minimum temperature has risen, resulting in warm nights.

According to weather reports, Maximum temperature in Delhi is 4 to 6 degrees higher compared to the normal Delhi temperature.

For the coming week, the weather in Delhi is expected to be hot as sky will remain clear and heat waves flowing from south-east at a speed of 8 kmph may affect people. The IMD has recorded heatwave conditions at several locations of Delhi-NCR and have warned people to avoid going out in direct sunlight especially duringthe afternoon.

Delhi weather alerts for areas like the Safdarjung and Ayanagar have raised eyebrows of the people as both the locations are expected to experience 41°C and 40.4°C temperatures and heatwave-like conditions.

Weather Report For Other States:

Rajasthan is observing high temperatures in several areas like Jaisalmer at 45°C, Chittorgarh 44.5°C, Bikaner 44.4°C, and Sri Ganganagar 44.2°C. IMD observed a rise in temperature for these cities for about 7 to 9 degrees compared to average in the month of April.

Gujarat's Surendranagar, Rajkot, Amreli, Mahuva and Kandla experienced temperatures between 43° to 46°. Mahuva rural area noticed a sizzling spike of 8.3°C above the normal temperature for day.

While Maharashtra is also going under same harsh weather conditions. Temperatures in Akola (44.1°C), Nandurbar (43.5°C), Jalgaon (43.3°C), and Amravati (43°C) made people sweat more than normal.
