Authorities acted swiftly to control the situation. Police, Civil Defense teams, and ambulances reached the site, and the fire brigade was also summoned to manage the crisis. Visibility in the area dropped significantly, halting vehicle movement. After intense efforts, the leak was brought under control by closing the plant's main valve.

The gas leakage began during the transfer of 20 tons of carbon dioxide into a tanker at the plant. Smoke enveloped the surrounding area within seconds, creating panic among residents as seen in the video shared by Rajesh Jamaal on X, formerly known as Twitter. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

This is not the first gas-related mishap in Jaipur. Recently, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) intervened after a suspected gas leak in the Mahesh Nagar area hospitalized 10 students from a coaching institute. Just days earlier, a massive fire caused by a CNG tanker collision on Ajmer Road claimed 20 lives.
