Viral Video: UPI Scammer Praises Girl After She Did Same "Message Scam" To Him, Says Maan Gaye Madam!
UPI scams are becoming common these days, but people have become smarter and know how to tackle such fraudsters. In a recent incident, a scammer called a woman claiming that he is her father's friend and a CA, and her father had asked for some money, around Rs 12000. So, should he send money to her on the same UPI number on which they are speaking? At first the woman got confused, but then agreed as man on the other side of phone said, he wanted to send the money.
When she said that OK, that he can send the money using same mobile number, that is registered with UPI, man first sends a Rs 10 message. She immediately notices it, but man says that he is only check first by send Rs 10, whether she received it or not. When she confirmed that she got it, scammer then pushed another message of 10,000.

Remember he had asked to send 12000.
Now, the scammer sends one more message, but this time, instead of sending 2000 more, he sends 20,000. Then immediately said, oh, he made a mistake and has sent 20,000 instead of 2000. And asked for a refund of balance amount i.e. 18000.
But the girl was smart enough to notice that the payment messages she is receiving are not from any bank, instead they are coming from a personal number.
Hence, she decided to play along. The woman copied and pasted scammer's message, only edited the amount in it, and pushed it back to the scammer.
When she asked the man to check payment done, scammer understood that he is messing up with the wrong person, who already caught him and did what he was trying to do.
The scammer said, "Han ji Mil gaye paise. Maan gaya main aapko, beta" ( I got the money and I am impressed with your smartness.)
The video is doing round the internet and people are actually enjoying it, and getting a lesson of scams going on in market.
