M Venkaiah Naidu Hails PM Modis Role in Indias Cultural Revival
Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu commended Prime Minister Narendra Modis endeavors to promote cultural and Hindu renaissance in India. He highlighted the importance of preserving and showcasing Indias cultural heritage, tradition, and arts to the world.
Hyderabad, February 12: Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts in promoting cultural and Hindu renaissance in India, particularly with the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Naidu emphasized the significance of cultural centres in showcasing the nation's rich culture, tradition, and arts to the world.

Inauguration of Regional Centre and Foundation Stone Laying
Naidu inaugurated the Regional Centre of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Dakshin Bharat Sanskritik Kendra in Hyderabad alongside Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy. The event also marked the laying of the foundation stone for the Bharata Kala Mandapa auditorium, which is part of the centenary celebrations of legendary Telugu singer Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao.
Promoting Cultural Renaissance
Naidu commended Prime Minister Modi's initiative in reviving India's cultural and Hindu heritage, highlighting the importance of the Ram temple consecration in Ayodhya. He stressed the role of mother tongue in preserving cultural heritage and commended Modi's efforts in promoting and preserving mother tongues through the National Education Policy. However, Naidu opposed the imposition of any language and advocated for respecting all languages and acquiring proficiency in them for personal growth.
Dakshin Bharat Sanskritik Kendra's Role
The Dakshin Bharat Sanskritik Kendra aims to promote research and documentation of music, folk and tribal arts, theatre, and puppetry. It envisions becoming a state-of-the-art regional centre and a leading cultural space that fosters cultural growth and performance in the state.
Central Government's Support for Cultural Heritage
Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy highlighted the Central government's unwavering commitment over the past decade to preserving, promoting, and protecting India's heritage. He acknowledged Prime Minister Modi's support in providing a significant boost to the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Telugu states.
Recognition and Felicitation
The event also celebrated the achievements of Padma Shri Awardees of 2024 from Telugu states, who were felicitated for their contributions to various fields.
The inauguration of the Regional Centre of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Dakshin Bharat Sanskritik Kendra and the laying of the foundation stone for the Bharata Kala Mandapa auditorium mark significant milestones in promoting cultural heritage and fostering artistic growth in India. The event underscores the government's commitment to preserving and celebrating the nation's rich cultural diversity.
