Uttarakhand Governor Gurmeet Singh Launches Two Books on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's Life

Uttarakhand Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh Retd. unveiled two books on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's life and contributions. The event took place at Raj Bhavan, where the books "Pushkar Dhami: The Living Heat of the Himalayas" and "Pushkar Dhami: The Vibrant Heat of the Himalayas" were introduced. Special guests included Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam Maharaj, Swami Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj of Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh, and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

The Governor commended the author, Sambhavna Pant, for her writing skills, noting she lived up to her name. He highlighted how Pant depicted Dhami's journey from a challenging childhood in the mountains to learning values from his grandfather Khem Singh and humility from his mother. His father's discipline as a soldier also influenced him significantly.

Leadership and Achievements

Governor Singh praised Chief Minister Dhami's leadership, stating that Uttarakhand has made significant progress under his guidance. He mentioned that Dhami's leadership is evident in his quick response to disasters like Silkyara, Joshimath, and Dharali to Tharali. The Governor noted that Dhami was always among the first to offer help to those affected.

Dhami's tenure has seen many historic decisions aimed at enhancing law and order in Uttarakhand. Under his leadership, the state has successfully hosted numerous national and international events. According to the Governor, these books celebrate Dhami's achievements, highlighting his discipline, humility, and compassion.

During the event, Chief Minister Dhami shared personal stories from his childhood in the mountains. He spoke emotionally about his mother's struggles as a soldier's wife and how these experiences shaped him. "I never imagined I would achieve anything big," he said, "but there was a living spirit in my life that I would do something good for society."
