This initiative aims to alleviate concerns for families when their daughters or wives are out for work. The government's move provides a robust safety net from home to workplace, especially for those working night shifts.

Women in Uttar Pradesh can now work night shifts under specific conditions. They must consent to work between 7 PM and 6 AM. Factories are required to ensure security, health, and transportation facilities, along with CCTV surveillance and security guards. This decision fosters a sense of safety at workplaces for. Additionally, women can work continuously for six hours without breaks if they agree. Overtime limits have increased from 75 to 144 hours per quarter, paid at double the regular wage.

The percentage of working women in India is around 40-42%, while in Uttar Pradesh it's approximately 36%. Over one crore women are engaged through more than ten lakh self-help groups in UP, striving towards self-reliance with support at every level.
