Uttam Kumar Reddy's Beard To Finally Meet The Razor As Congress Leads In Telangana
The Congress was leading against its rival BRS in Telangana on Sunday. As per EC's latest update, the national party was leading in 53 while BRS in 30 seats. The BJP and CPI were leading in 6 and one seat, respectively. The simple majority mark to form government in the southern state is 60 seats.
As the final results loom and the prospects of Congress securing power intensify, the focus now shifts to Congress leader N Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is now seen as the CM probable in case the Grand Old Party unseats the BRS. Will Uttam Kumar Reddy shave his long beard after seeing the recent result? It must be noted that Uttam Kumar Reddy took a pledge in 2016 not to shave his beard till his party, the Congress, came to power in Telangana state.

Taking to X (formely known as Twitter), Telangana Congress wrote,''My beard will be removed tomorrow, says Uttam Kumar Reddy.''
Speaking to ANI, he said,"Congress will form the government. There is a special place for the Gandhi family in the hearts of the Telangana people. We made a mistake in the 2014 and 2018 elections. This time, we corrected ourselves, and we are on the way to victory. Second is the incompetence, arrogance, the corruption of the BRS government..."
The Congress fervently campaigned to overthrow the nearly decade-long incumbent, while the BJP unleashed an aggressive assault on the ruling administration. The K Chandrasekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) has held power since 2014, following Telangana's statehood grant, securing victory in the 2018 elections and aiming for a hat-trick win.
