TTV Dinakaran faces arrest, likely to step down after meet with Sasikala
The two factions have described Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, E Palanisami and O Paneerselvam as brothers.
It appears as though the curtains will be drawn on the political career of T T V Dinakaran, the nephew of Sasikala Natarajan. Facing arrest in a bribery case, Dinakaran is likely to resign after meeting with Sasikala at the Bengaluru central prison where she is lodged after being convicted in the disproportionate assets case.

A special team of the Delhi police which busted a case in which Dinakaran is alleged to have offered a Rs 50 crore bribe to bag the AIADMK's two leaves symbol will visit Chennai and ask him to join the probe. If there is sufficient material, we do not rule out arresting him, a Delhi police officer said.
While there is no clarity on what both factions have in mind about Chinnamma or Sasikala, all are united that Dinakaran must go. Faced with pressure, Dinakaran in all possibility will step down from the party thus paving the way for a merger.
The two factions have described Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, E Palanisami and O Paneerselvam as brothers. Many in the party have welcomed the merger, although the opposition DMK has called it a merger of power mongers.
