Try opening porn sites, get welcomed by Bhajans
The app, which took six months to complete, is available for both desktop and Android platforms.
A team from BHU's Institute Of Medical Sciences have developed an application that will play devotional songs if the user tries to open pornographic sites.
The application, developed by a team led by Dr. Vijaynath Mishra, can block about 3,800 identified sites. The 'Har Har Mahadev' application is designed to block pornography, violence and vulgar content circulating on the internet.

"When I first developed this app I had my patients, my children and my students in mind, but now I think this should be made available to the whole world," Mishra told news agency ANI.
The app, which took six months to complete, is available for both desktop and Android platforms.
As of now, the app plays Bhajans, but the work is on to include devotional songs of other religions.
"By next month we will give a religion option. For example if a Muslim tries to open then 'Allah o Akbar' will be played, similarly chants of other religion will be loaded as well," Mishra said.
BHU research scholars Smriti Singh and Akanksha Srivastav, developer Ankit Shrivastav and journalists Aman and Ankit were also part of the team led by Dr Mishra.
