In the viral clip, the woman said that her name was Ekta. When asked, "What brought her to Canada?", she said was her "dream to leave India".

She desires to pursue a career in business after completing her biotechnology degree in Canada. On asking what she liked best about the nation, she claimed that it was the beautiful scenery, sunrise, and sunset.

As the clip went viral and many trolled her for her "dream to leave India".

"Ekta, nature and its beauty are hamare desh ki visheshta. Why do people feel they're so elite just because they went abroad for studies or job? Top Global Institutes don't have even 1% of the competition that top Indian Colleges have. While I appreciate the fact that you're in Canada or US for your studies, always mention to folks that you couldn't make it to good colleges here and hence your rich dad asked you to go outside," a user slammed her.

Another netizen said, "Sad , she went to Canaddda to see sunset and sunshine ☀️ , she could have just gone to her building terrace."

"It's called study-tourism. When you can't get into any good college in US or Europe, you choose low-hanging Canada, because that would be an ego-pumping thing. One of my cousins went to study microbiology in Canada, he's working at a gas station now doing accounts. Lol," third netizen said.

"I lived in Canada for a year and moved back. That one year was the most depressing year. The summers are good but winters are a nightmare. Trust me India is far better than Canada if you are well educated," one user explained.
