Tribal Woman Paraded Naked In Gujarat's Sanjeli; 12 Arrested
Gujarat police on Friday reported a shocking incident, in which, a 35-year-old tribal woman was brutally attacked and humiliated by mob. According to the reports, woman's clothes were torn and she was made parade naked in Sanjeli taluka. The incident reportedly took place on January 28 and now, video of the incident is going viral on the internet.
Superintendent of Police Rajdeepsinh Zala told media that a case of atrocities, abduction, wrongful confinement, outraging modesty, and assault with intent to disrobe has been filed against 15 people, out of which, 12 have been apprehended.

Those who recorded and shared the video will also face charges under the Information Technology Act.
"An FIR was registered on January 29 against 15 persons. We have arrested 12 persons, comprising four men, four women and four juveniles," SP Zala said.
It was learned that the victim allegedly had an affair with a local man and visited him on the day of the attack. A group led by her father-in-law Bahadur Damor and her husband's brother Sanjay Damor, along with several women, barged into the man's house and assaulted her. She was also tied by a chain and dragged with help of bike.
Political Reaction:
Gujarat Health Minister and government spokesperson Rushikesh Patel informed reporters in Gandhinagar that law enforcement responded promptly to the situation. "Police acted immediately and have arrested 12 persons so far," he confirmed.
