TMC Students' Wing Suspends Member Amid Doctor Murder Allegations
The Trinamool Congress students wing has suspended a senior member due to allegations involving a crime scene at a state-run hospital. The incident revolves around the discovery of a woman doctor's body on August 9. The suspension was announced by Trinamool Chhatra Parishad state president Trinankur Bhattacharya.

Suspension Amid Allegations
Avik Dey, a post-graduate trainee at SSKM Hospital, has been suspended from the organisation. Bhattacharya stated, "TMCP has suspended him from the organisation... until the ongoing investigation is concluded." This decision follows allegations that Dey was seen with police in the room where the body was found.
Video Footage Controversy
A video surfaced showing a person in a red shirt at the crime scene, sparking debates about their identity. Some doctors claimed the individual resembled Dey. However, Kolkata Police asserted it was one of their fingerprint experts, not Dey. Despite this, discussions about the person's identity continued.
Dey has denied being present at the hospital during the incident. Bhattacharya mentioned, "We will wait till the CBI investigation is over before taking any further decision about Avik." The video led to suspicions of evidence tampering after the crime.
The suspension and ongoing investigation highlight concerns about potential misconduct and evidence handling in this case.
