New Delhi: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Jana Sena Party (JSP) have announced that they will contest the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh (AP) together. The three parties have reached an agreement on seat-sharing, with the TDP contesting 145 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats, the BJP contesting 6 Assembly and 6 Lok Sabha seats, and the JSP contesting 24 Assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats.Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Kakinada loksabha seat according to sources. TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu will attend the NDA meeting to be held on March 14.
In a meeting with Amit Shah on Saturday, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan agreed to a seat-sharing formula. The BJP was initially insisting on more Lok Sabha seats, but Pawan Kalyan eventually agreed to give up one of the three seats allotted to him in order to accommodate the BJP. As a result, the Anakapalli Lok Sabha seat will now be contested by the BJP.The BJP will also field candidates from Araku, Rajamahendravaram, Rajampet, Tirupati, Eluru, and Narsapuram. The final decision on the Visakhapatnam seat is yet to be taken.

BJP Leadership Asks Pawan Kalyan to Contest Lok Sabha Elections:
The BJP leadership has asked Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Kakinada. He is also likely to contest one Assembly seat from the same parliamentary constituency, either Pithapuram or Kakinada City.According to sources, the BJP is planning to offer Pawan Kalyan a cabinet berth in the NDA government at the Centre if the alliance wins the elections. The Anakapalli Lok Sabha seat, which was earlier expected to be contested by Pawan Kalyan's brother Nagababu, has now been allocated to the BJP.
The BJP's decision to ask Pawan Kalyan to contest the Lok Sabha elections is a significant development in the run-up to the Andhra Pradesh elections. Pawan Kalyan is a popular actor and politician with a strong following in the state. His candidature is likely to boost the BJP's chances of winning the elections.
The BJP is also hoping to benefit from the alliance with the TDP, which is a major regional party in Andhra Pradesh. The alliance is seen as a major challenge to the ruling YSRCP, which is seeking a second term in office.
The BJP has convened a meeting of its new allies, including the Jana Sena and the TDP, on March 14 in Delhi. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu will attend the meeting. The three parties are expected to make a joint announcement on the number of seats each party will contest. The details of the constituencies and the candidates will be finalized in subsequent rounds of talks.
