Tamil Nadu Train Accident: Driver Senses Jerk, Switches Track Leading to Collision, Reports Say

In a tragic incident Friday evening, the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Superfast Express collided with a stationary goods train at Kavarapettai station in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district. The accident occurred after the driver of the express train reportedly felt a sudden jerk and attempted to change tracks, but instead hit the goods rake.

The collision caused significant damage, leading to a fire in two passenger coaches and the derailment of at least five to six additional coaches. Eyewitness accounts describe a scene of panic as passengers scrambled for safety while officials rushed to the spot to manage the unfolding crisis.
