Surya Tilak Ram Mandir: Ram Lalla To Get Tilak On Ram Navami, Surya Abhishek Trial Successful

The event of Surya Abhishek, where Surya (the Sun) applies tilak on the forehead of Ram Lalla (the infant Lord Ram), was successfully tested in the premises of Ramlala in Ayodhya.

This trial involved Surya applying tilak on the deity's forehead through a mirror, which took place precisely at 12:00 noon and was conducted in the presence of scientists.

Following the consecration of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, large crowds of devotees from across the country have been gathering daily at the temple site. This event marks the end of a nearly 500-year wait for the grand temple to be constructed at Lord Ram's birthplace, as reported by ABP.

The upcoming festival of Ram Navami, celebrated on the ninth day of the Chaitra month's Shukla Paksha, holds special significance this year due to the presence of Lord Ram in the newly constructed temple. On this occasion, a grand celebration is anticipated at the Ayodhya Ram temple.

On April 17, 2024, during the Ram Navami festivities, Suryadev (the Sun god) will grace the forehead of Ramlala with tilak for approximately 4 minutes. This ritual of Surya Tilak on Ram Navami is expected to be a deeply emotional and significant moment for devotees, symbolizing the divine presence and blessings of Lord Ram, as per media reports.

The successful testing of Surya Abhishek has further heightened the anticipation and spiritual significance of the upcoming event, capturing the attention and emotions of devotees across the country.

The redirection of the sun's rays in various directions through three different mirrors will precede the tilak ceremony, with the rays then channelled through a brass pipe and directed onto the head of Ramallah through a lens.

Special preparations are underway by the Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust for this year's Ram Navami, marking the first celebration after the idol consecration of Ramlala in Ayodhya, as reported by ABP.

A special and divine event of Surya Tilak is scheduled for Ram Navami, with plans for a live telecast by Prasar Bharati and the installation of LED screens at over a hundred locations in Ayodhya to witness the event.
