Gurugram: Tennis Player Radhika Yadav Shot Dead by Father Over Instagram Reels
In a shocking incident from Gurugram's Sector 57, 25-year-old state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her father. The accused, 49-year-old Deepak Yadav, allegedly fired five bullets, three of which struck Radhika, as per police reports.
The crime took place around 10:30 am on the first floor of their residence in Sushant Lok Phase 2, Gurugram. According to PTI, Radhika's mother was on the ground floor when the shooting occurred, while Radhika was in the kitchen upstairs.

Accused Arrested, Weapon Seized
Gurugram Police have arrested the accused father and recovered his .32 bore licensed pistol used in the crime. Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, confirmed that a case under murder charges is being registered.
"Tennis player Radhika was shot dead with three bullets in Sector 57, Gurugram. The father has been accused of murder. The bullets were fired from his licensed revolver," Kumar told ANI.
Preliminary investigation suggests Deepak Yadav was reportedly upset over Radhika's frequent Instagram reel-making, which he believed was affecting her career and personal life.
Radhika Yadav: A Rising Tennis Talent
According to tenniskhelo.com, Radhika Yadav held an International Tennis Federation (ITF) doubles ranking of 113 and had previously been ranked within the top 200 globally. She represented Haryana in various state-level tournaments and was born on March 23, 2000.
Despite being rushed to a private hospital in critical condition, Radhika succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Police are continuing their investigation.
