Standing firmly with Ukraine, US warns China for lending weapons to Russia
US has sent a strong message to China for helping out Russia. US intelligence claimed China is considering providing arms to Russia. Zelensky said in such a scenario, the conflict may escalate into a World War.
US President Joe Bidden paid a surprise visit to Ukraine to show solidarity with Ukraine in its fight against Russia. The photos of Biden with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky are all around the internet that shows the amount of importance US accord to the war. Zelensky too said that the visit is crucial and an indication that US stands with Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
Just before the visit, the US sent out a strong message to China which has been helping out Russia in more than one way. Earlier, the US intelligence agencies claimed that China is considering providing arms and ammunition to Russia. Based on the reports, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Chinese involvement in Russia's war effort would be a serious problem. Zelensky has also said that if China provides arms to Russia, the conflict may escalate into a World War.

China considering providing lethal support to Russia
Showing his concern towards what is happening between China and Russia in the backdrop of the Ukrainian crisis, Blinken said the US is watching them closely. He admitted that the US is concerned over the reports that China would provide weapons to Russia when the latter is in conflict with Ukraine. Interestingly, whereas Ukraine has received a plethora of weapons from NATO, Russia has been fighting with its own weapons for all these months.
Blinken further reiterated that so far, China has been engaged in providing rhetorical, political and diplomatic support to Russia. However, according to him, this could soon become the transfer of weapons. He admitted that he shared the American concern with the Chinese in his meeting with Wang Yi, Chinese Communist Party's senior most foreign policy official.
World should come down hard on China: US Senator
Appreciating Secretary Blinken, US Senator Lindsey Graham said that it's good news that finally it has come from the government. However, he has sought a strong reaction from the global community against China. He said that the world should come down hard on China, especially if it starts offering its weapons to Russia.
Graham also warned that it would be the most catastrophic thing that could happen to the US-China relationship. Americans have also shown their concern towards the newly built strong defence relationship between Russia and China. Additionally, since China has refused to criticise Russia for its actions in Ukraine, NATO and its allies are irked a lot.
