Shut Down CRPF Schools: Khalistani Separatist Gurpatwant Pannun's Fresh Threat

Khalistani separatist leader Gurpatwant Pannun has issued a warning to CRPF schools, calling for their closure starting November 26, according to The Times of India. This warning follows a recent blast outside a CRPF school in Rohini, north Delhi, for which the group "Khalistan Zindabad" claimed responsibility.

Pannun has accused CRPF personnel, including former Punjab Police chief KPS Gill and ex-R&AW officer Vikash Yadav, of committing human rights violations and targeting Sikhs both in Punjab and abroad. He urged parents to boycott CRPF schools, citing the CRPF's alleged involvement in atrocities such as the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and extrajudicial killings in Punjab.

He further blamed Home Minister Amit Shah, who oversees the CRPF, for allegedly hiring mercenaries to assassinate Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar and orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot in New York, the report added.

CRPF schools are operated by the largest paramilitary force in India, which is involved in anti-Naxal operations, counterterrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, and counter-insurgency efforts in the Northeast.

Last Sunday, a low-intensity explosion occurred at a CRPF Public School, but fortunately, no one was injured.

Two days later, an email threatened to bomb three CRPF schools in Delhi and Hyderabad, as well as two Kendriya Vidyalayas located within CRPF premises in other cities. The CRPF schools targeted include two in Delhi (Rohini and Dwarka) and one in Hyderabad, while the Kendriya Vidyalayas are situated in Panchkula (Haryana) and Rampur (Uttar Pradesh).

The email also referenced political issues in Tamil Nadu and the dismissal of DMK member Jaffer Sadiq, PTI reported citing sources.
