Show Us the Proof: NSA Doval Slams Foreign Media Over False Reporting On Op Sindoor

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Friday slammed foreign media over its coverage of Operation Sindoor and reporting that Pakistan caused damage to India in the four-day conflict.

Doval Shoots Down Foreign Media's Claims

Speaking on Operation Sindoor, at IIT Madras, NSA Ajit Doval said, "Foreign press said that Pakistan did that and this...You tell me one photograph, one image, which shows any damage to any Indian (structure), even a glass pane having been broken."

He said that the satellite pictures showed the capabilities of the Indian army. Doval explained, "They wrote these things and put out things...The images only showed 13 air bases in Pakistan before and after 10th May, whether it was in Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Chaklala...I am only telling you what the foreign media put out on the basis of images...We are capable of doing that (damage to Pakistani air bases)..."

Operation Sindoor

Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, India launched Operation Sindoor, striking nine terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and in the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir on May 7. In response, Pakistan tried to attack the border regions but India successfully neutralised drone, and missile attacks.

India targeted runways, hangars, command and control centres, radar bases, missile sites and weapon storage areas. New Delhi also struck Pakistani military bases at Rafiqui, Murid, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Chunian while causing damage to the air bases in Skardu, Bholari, Jacobabad and Sargodha.

Take a Poll

However, the operation was put on pause after Islamabad called Delhi twice for a ceasefire on May 10.

NSA Ajit Doval stressed that technological self-reliance is a strategic imperative for India, announcing that the nation will fully indigenize its communication systems to protect security and data. He identified emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) as "game-changers" in building national resilience.

In a powerful appeal, Doval urged the youth to draw strength from their ancestors who endured a "thousand years" of hardship to keep India's civilization alive. His remarks underscore the government's continued push for indigenous innovation under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, particularly in sensitive sectors.
