School Holiday on July 10: East Singhbhum in Jharkhand Declares Closure Amid Heavy Rain Alert
Schools in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district will remain closed on Thursday due to anticipated heavy rainfall. The India Meteorological Department has predicted severe weather conditions that could disrupt daily life and pose risks to students' safety.
The Deputy Commissioner, Karn Satyarthi, has mandated the closure of all schools in the district. This decision aims to safeguard students and staff from potential hazards caused by the forecasted downpour. Schools have been advised to switch to online classes to ensure continuity in education.

Impact of Heavy Rainfall
Continuous rainfall over the past two days has significantly impacted life in East Singhbhum. Waterlogging has been reported in several areas, causing inconvenience to residents. The rising water levels of the Kharkhai and Swarnarekha rivers have added to the concerns.
On June 29, a private residential school in Kowali faced a challenging situation when 162 students had to spend the night on the rooftop. The area was heavily flooded due to persistent rain, highlighting the severity of the weather conditions.
Precautionary Measures
Authorities are taking necessary precautions to mitigate risks associated with heavy rainfall. By closing schools and encouraging online learning, they aim to minimize disruptions while ensuring student safety. Residents are also urged to stay alert and take necessary precautions during this period.
The situation remains under close observation as officials continue monitoring weather patterns and river levels. The community is advised to stay informed through official channels for updates on weather conditions and safety measures.
