Kidnapped Uttar Pradesh Man Reunited with Family After Three Decades Enjoys Wholesome Meal
Raju, who was kidnapped over 30 years ago, finally reunited with his family in Sahibabad. After surviving on minimal food for decades, he enjoyed a meal prepared by his sister. Raju was abducted at age seven from Ghaziabad and taken to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. There, he was forced to care for livestock and was kept chained each night.

Raju's father, Tula Ram, a retired government employee, plans to hire a private tutor for Raju. He believes formal schooling is not feasible at Raju's age. Tula Ram owns a flour grinding machine in Shaheed Nagar and hopes Raju will join him there after some rest. The family is also considering finding a suitable bride for Raju once he settles back into normal life.
Family Reunion and Future Plans
Since Raju's return, relatives and neighbours have visited Tula Ram’s home to see him. His mother and sister have been pampering him with his favourite dishes. Tula Ram recounted the kidnapping incident when Raju and his sister were returning from school. After an argument, Raju sat by the roadside where he was abducted by three individuals in a tempo.
The police are reopening the case and plan to visit Jaisalmer to apprehend the kidnappers. Despite extensive searches over the years, Raju remained missing until recently. Tula Ram had received a ransom demand of Rs 8 lakh but couldn't pay it, leaving the case unresolved for decades.
Police Investigation and Breakthrough
On November 27, the family's ordeal ended when Raju returned home. Initially hesitant, his mother and sisters identified him by a mole on his chest and a skull depression. Raju shared that he survived on one roti and tea twice daily but remained hopeful of reuniting with his family.
A Sikh businessman from Delhi witnessed Raju being mistreated while purchasing livestock in Jaisalmer. Moved by his plight, the businessman decided to help Raju escape. He took Raju on his truck and dropped him at the Ghaziabad border with a note explaining his abduction in 1993.
Escape and Return Home
Raju eventually reached Khoda police station in Ghaziabad. The officers provided him with food and shelter while they searched for his family. After three days of intensive efforts, Khoda police successfully located Raju's family.
The police are now focused on bringing those responsible for Raju's abduction to justice. This reunion marks the end of a long period of uncertainty for Tula Ram and his family, who had lived without knowing Raju's fate for so many years.
