Republic Day 2026: From Vande Mataram To Aatmanirbhar Bharat, 30 Tableaux To Roll Down Kartavya Path- Check

With the powerful themes of 'Swatantrata ka Mantra: Vande Mataram' and 'Samriddhi ka Mantra: Aatmanirbhar Bharat', the Republic Day parade in 2026 will present a grand visual story of India's past, present, and future.

The parade will mark 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram while highlighting the country's growing self-reliance across sectors, all set against India's rich cultural diversity.

30 Tableaux to Roll Down Kartavya Path

A total of 30 tableaux will roll down Kartavya Path in New Delhi on January 26, 2026, during the 77th Republic Day parade. Of these, 17 tableaux will represent States and Union Territories, while 13 tableaux will be presented by various Ministries, Departments, and Services.

Together, these tableaux will showcase India's freedom movement, cultural heritage, regional strengths, technological progress, social reforms, and national development goals.

Highlights from State and UT Tableaux

Assam: Focuses on Asharikandi, the famous terracotta craft village, symbolising self-reliance through traditional craftsmanship.

Chhattisgarh: Highlights Vande Mataram as a powerful mantra of freedom and sacrifice.

Gujarat: Blends the ideas of Swadeshi, self-reliance, and independence, linking history with modern Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Himachal Pradesh: Showcases Dev Bhoomi, Veer Bhoomi, reflecting the state's spiritual roots and brave legacy.

Jammu and Kashmir: Presents its rich handicrafts and vibrant folk dances, celebrating cultural heritage.

Kerala: Highlights the Water Metro project and the achievement of 100 percent digital literacy under Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Maharashtra: Focuses on Ganeshotsav as a symbol of community strength and self-reliance.

Manipur: Depicts the state's journey from agricultural fields to international markets, reflecting economic growth.

Nagaland: Celebrates the Hornbill Festival, linking culture, tourism, and self-reliance.
Odisha: Presents Soil to Silicon, showing a blend of traditional roots and modern innovation.

Ministries and Services Present a Vision of Modern India

The tableaux by central ministries and services will highlight national strength, resilience, and future readiness. Air Headquarters will present a veteran tableau on nation-building through war, while Naval Headquarters will showcase Samudra Se Samriddhi, reflecting maritime growth.

The Department of Military Affairs will display a Tri-Services tableau on Operation Sindoor, focusing on victory through jointness. The Ministry of Culture will present Vande Mataram as the soul cry of the nation.

Education and reform will also take centre stage. The Department of School Education and Literacy will highlight the National Education Policy 2020, while the Ministry of AYUSH will present Ayush ka Tantra, Swasthya ka Mantra. The Ministry of Home Affairs, through NDMA and NDRF, will mark 25 years of resilience since the Bhuj earthquake, while BPRD will focus on people-centric justice through the new criminal laws of 2023.

Urban development and heritage will be highlighted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, while the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will present Bharat Gatha. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj will showcase the SVAMITVA scheme, and the Ministry of Power will present Prakash Ganga, focusing on energy for a developed India.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will highlight skill-building as the foundation of a future-ready nation.
