Rape In Moving Ambulance! Bihar Woman Faints During Home Guard Exam, Assaulted While Heading Hospital
A shocking incident has emerged from the BMP-3 parade ground in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, where a woman was allegedly raped while being transported in an ambulance after collapsing during a Home Guard recruitment event.
The Incident
On July 24, the woman lost consciousness during a race held as part of the recruitment process. She was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance stationed at the venue. However, upon regaining consciousness, she informed the police that she had been assaulted by the ambulance driver and technician during the journey.

Swift Police Action
Following her complaint, the police immediately sprang into action. Within two hours, they arrested the accused-ambulance driver Vinay Kumar and technician Ajit Kumar. The arrests were made based on her detailed statement and corroborating evidence.
Investigation Underway
A Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by Bodh Gaya SDPO Saurabh Jaiswal, has been constituted to handle the case. A forensic team was also deployed to examine the ambulance and collect evidence from the site.
Importantly, CCTV footage from the area played a vital role in confirming the identity of the accused and validating the survivor's claims.
Legal Proceedings
An FIR has been filed at the Bodh Gaya police station. Senior Superintendent of Police Anand Kumar assured the public that the investigation is being conducted on priority. He added that a charge sheet will be filed soon, and a fast-track trial is being pursued to deliver timely justice.
Public Reaction
The incident has triggered outrage and renewed calls for better safety measures for women, especially during large-scale public recruitment drives.
