Soren had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Delhi since August 2. His condition was critical, and he was on life support.

Soren's health deteriorated after he fell in the bathroom of his home in Jamshedpur. Following the incident, he was airlifted to Delhi for advanced medical care. A team of senior specialists closely monitored his condition and provided intensive treatment.

Born on January 1, 1963, in Ghorabandha village, East Singhbhum district, Ramdas Soren began his political career as the gram pradhan of Ghorabanda panchayat. He rose to prominence as a key minister in Hemant Soren's cabinet. In 2024, he secured the Ghatshila assembly seat for the third time by defeating BJP's Babulal Soren.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed his condolences over Ramdas Soren's demise. In a post on X, he wrote, "Ramdas Da brother should not have left us like this. Last greetings to Dada..."
