Ram Rahim Guilty: As violence spreads, Delhi put on high alert
Meanwhile there is heavy security deployment in Sirsa as the crowds turned violent.
A high alert has been sounded on the borders of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh after violence broke out following the verdict in the Ram Rahim rape case. The Dera Sacha chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted on rape charges by a special CBI court at Panchakula.

Minutes after the verdict heavy violence broke out in the adjoining areas. With the protestors turning violent, the Intelligence Bureau sent out an alert and directed that security be upped in the bordering states of Punjab and Haryana.
The directive came as a preventive measure as there should not be any spill out of the violence into the adjoining states. An order was issued by the ADG Law and Order to step security along the borders and ensure that there is no spill out of the violence.
Delhi traffic police say that road has been blocked near the Bhopura border keeping in mind the current violence. Meanwhile there is heavy security deployment in Sirsa as the crowds turned violent. Protestors torched media vans, police stations and also a railway station.
