Ram Mandir Fever: Maharashtra Woman Goes For 'Muhurat Delivery' Held, Baby Boy Born

A baby boy was delivered at a hospital in Maharashtra's Thane city by a 42-year-old woman, on Monday.

This occurred after her request for a 'muhurat delivery' on the day the new Ram Lalla idol was consecrated at the Ayodhya temple was agreed upon by the doctors.

The request for advancing her delivery by a day to coincide with the auspicious occasion of the new Ram Lalla idol consecration at the Ayodhya temple was made by Samrudhi Bamane, a well-educated IT professional working in Thane's Male Hospital, according to Dr. Chandrakant Barure, reported NDTV.

The planned caesarean delivery was performed by Dr. Barure, and it was mentioned that the conception was natural, without the use of in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures.

The baby, born at 12:30 pm at the hospital in Naupada area of Thane, along with the mother, Samrudhi Bamane, is reported to be in good health, according to the doctor, as report says.

The anticipation surrounding January 22 was driven by the belief that babies born on this day, coinciding with the consecration of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, would be imbued with qualities that define 'Maryada Purushottam' Ram. Many expectant parents nationwide adjusted their 'due' dates to seek 'muhurat deliveries' on this auspicious day.
