Rajiv Gandhi's birth anniversary: PM, Senior leaders, family pay tribute to former PM
The nation on Sunday remembered former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 73rd birth anniversary.Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday remembered former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and his contribution to the nation on his birth anniversary.

"On his birth anniversary, we remember former PM Shri Rajiv Gandhi & recall his contribution to the nation," Modi tweeted.
Former President Pranab Mukherjee and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit paid respects to him at his memorial Veer Bhoomi in New Delhi.
Congress chief Sonia Ganhi, Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Robert Vadra and daughter Miraya were among those who paid homage at the samadhi.
Rajiv Gandhi was born on this day in 1944 and was assassinated on May 21, 1991. He was the 6th Prime Minister of India, serving from 1984 to 1989.
He took office after the 1984 assassination of his mother, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, to become the youngest Indian Prime Minister at the age of 40.
