Rajasthan Government's Commitment to Heritage Preservation and Religious Tourism Development
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has reaffirmed his commitment to preserving the state's heritage while advancing the development of religious and historical sites. During a review meeting at his residence, Sharma highlighted the significance of Rajasthan's cultural, religious, and historical landmarks as integral parts of the state's ancient legacy. An official statement confirmed the government's dedication to safeguarding and enhancing this rich heritage.

Sharma pointed out that Rajasthan holds vast potential for religious and cultural tourism. He noted that maintaining places of worship could significantly boost tourism, thereby creating numerous job opportunities. "Preserving our places of faith can also boost the tourism sector, creating significant job opportunities," Sharma stated.
Development Initiatives for Tourism
Under the Sankalp Patra initiative, the government announced plans to develop the Braj Chaurasi Circuit into a devotional tourism hub. According to Sharma, tourism facilities are being established along the Braj Chaurasi Kos Parikrama Marg. He urged officials to expedite development projects at Poonchri Ka Lautha Deeg and complete procedures for constructing various panoramas dedicated to Shri Gokul Jat, Raja Khemkaran, Dev Baba, and Govind Swami.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the need for rapid development at the Tanot Mata Temple in Jaisalmer. He called for improved arrangements for devotees visiting this site. Additionally, Sharma stressed enhancing connectivity between Girduwala, Kuldhara, and Longewala with Jaisalmer and Tanot while developing tourist amenities in these regions.
Enhancing Educational Engagement
Sharma proposed regular school tours to historical and cultural monuments to help students become familiar with Rajasthan’s heritage. This initiative aims to educate young minds about the state's rich history and cultural significance through firsthand experiences.
In a recent cabinet meeting held in Prayagraj, a decision was made to renovate temples located outside Rajasthan. Sharma instructed officials from the Devsthan Department to conduct surveys and compile a list of such temples requiring renovation.
Potential Tourist Destinations
The Chief Minister suggested that Sambhar Lake near Jaipur could be developed into a major tourist attraction similar to Gujarat's Rann of Kutch. This proposal aims to enhance Rajasthan's appeal as a diverse tourist destination by leveraging its natural landscapes.
The government remains committed to preserving Rajasthan's heritage while promoting tourism development. These initiatives aim to enhance cultural awareness and economic growth through increased tourism activities across the state.
