According to the postmortem findings, one of the bullets had a through-and-through trajectory-it entered and exited the body, causing two wounds. This detail may have led to the early confusion about the number of shots fired.

Why Was Radhika Yadav Shot?

On Thursday, Radhika Yadav, a state-level tennis player, was allegedly shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, at their home in Gurugram's Sector 57. The father and daughter had been arguing over her decision to continue running her tennis academy, which he wanted shut down.

Deepak Yadav, who was arrested soon after the incident, has confessed to the crime. During police interrogation, he claimed their family was financially well off, and he did not see the need for Radhika to work. Despite his objections, she pursued her passion, which allegedly enraged him and led to the fatal shooting.

She Died During Treatment at a Private Hospital

Radhika Yadav was immediately rushed to a private hospital after the shooting. However, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment, despite the doctors' best efforts.

Deepak Yadav was presented before a Gurugram court on Friday. He has been remanded to one-day police custody as investigations continue. Police are reviewing forensic findings, weapon registration, and statements from family members and neighbors to build a stronger case.
