Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann And Wife Blessed With Baby Girl

Punjab's Chief Minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann, and his wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, welcomed their newborn daughter at a private hospital in Mohali on Thursday. Sharing the joyous news in Punjabi, Mann expressed gratitude for the gift of a daughter, noting that both mother and child are in good health.

Dr. Gurpreet Kaur was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Wednesday, with Mann joining her on Thursday morning. The couple's marriage took place on July 6, 2022, in Chandigarh, four months after Mann assumed office as Punjab's chief minister on March 16, 2022.

This marks Mann's third child, as he has a son and a daughter from his previous marriage to Inderpreet Kaur. Mann divorced Inderpreet in 2015, and she and their children, Seerat, 23, and Dilshan, 19, reside in the US.

During his Republic Day address in Ludhiana, Mann surprised the audience by announcing the pregnancy, emphasizing their decision not to determine the baby's gender and urging others to avoid such practices.
