President Murmu, PM Modi Wish 'Happy 2025' To Nation; Read Their New Year Greeting Messages
As the world embraces 2025, President Droupadi Murmu shared her heartfelt greetings for the New Year on X. She wished for joy, harmony, and prosperity in 2025 and urged everyone to work towards a brighter future for India and the world. "Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! May the year 2025 bring joy, harmony, and prosperity to all! On this occasion, let us renew our commitment to work together for creating a brighter, more inclusive, and sustainable future for India and the world," President Murmu stated on X.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his warm wishes for a prosperous year. On X, PM Modi highlighted the significance of new opportunities, personal growth, and collective well-being as key themes for the year. "Happy 2025! May this year bring everyone new opportunities, success, and endless joy. May everybody be blessed with wonderful health and prosperity," PM Modi expressed on X.

India welcomed 2025 with vibrant celebrations across the nation. Cities were alive with parties, cultural events, live music performances, and themed decorations. In Delhi, popular spots like Hauz Khas and Connaught Place were bustling with people celebrating. The Delhi Police ensured safety by making prior security arrangements.

In Punjab's Amritsar, crowds gathered at the Golden Temple to welcome the New Year. Hotels in various cities hosted special events for the occasion. In Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, people danced in the streets to celebrate 2025's arrival. Similarly, Lucknow witnessed joyful street celebrations as midnight approached.

As midnight struck, many cities showcased stunning fireworks displays. Mumbai's beaches like Juhu Beach were crowded with revellers enjoying the spectacle. People gathered at Marine Drive to witness the fireworks lighting up the sky.
In Himachal Pradesh's Manali, a favourite tourist spot, people danced cheerfully in the streets. West Bengal saw celebrations with lights flashing from mobile phones. Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram marked the New Year's arrival with dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky.
Diverse Celebratory Traditions
In Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam, residents celebrated by cutting cakes. Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore had percussion instruments playing in the streets while Chennai experienced large crowds celebrating enthusiastically.
