PM Modi wishes Telangana on second statehood day
New Delhi, June 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, June 2 wished the people of Telangana on their second statehood day.
"On the statehood day of Telangana, my greetings to the people of Telangana. I hope the state progresses to new heights in the years to come," Modi tweeted.

On June 2, 2014, the state of Telangana came into existence after bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh.
"I convey my greetings to my sisters and brothers of Andhra Pradesh. My best wishes as the state continues to develop at a rapid pace," he wrote in another tweet.
Telangana became the 29th state of the country on June 2, 2014 after the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act was passed in the Parliament.
