PM Modi In Haryana Launch Gurugram Metro Project And AIIMS Rewari Amid Farmers' Protest
The foundation stone for the Gurugram Metro Rail project worth ₹5,450 crore was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Haryana's Rewari, aiming to enhance urban transportation, on Friday.
A government release has indicated that various projects worth over ₹9,750 crore encompassing urban transport, rail, health, and tourism sectors will be inaugurated and have their foundation stones laid by Modi. This comes amid farmers' protest 2.0 which is on its fourth day today, where Delhi borders continue to witness slow traffic.

Farmers' Protest 2.0
On Thursday, a meeting was scheduled to be convened in Chandigarh by a panel consisting of three union ministers with protesting farmer leaders for further discussions amidst the ongoing standoff between the demonstrators and security forces at the Punjab-Haryana border. So far, there are no reports of clashes between farmers and Haryana security personnel at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points.
In a bid to maintain law and order, Section 144 has been implemented by the Delhi police, prohibiting the entry of tractor-trolleys and large gatherings. Significant traffic jams were witnessed at the Delhi-Ghaziabad border due to the farmers' demonstration and stringent security measures imposed by the authorities.
