Pan Masala Kamla Pasand Owner's Daughter-in-Law Dies by Suicide at South Delhi Residence

The daughter in law of prominent pan masala businessman Kamal Kishor Chaurasia, known for the Kamla Pasand and Rajshree brands, was found dead at the family's residence in South Delhi's upscale Vasant Vihar area. Police say the incident appears to be a case of suicide, and a formal investigation is underway.

Discovery of the Incident

Forty year old Deepti Chaurasia, wife of Kamal Kishor's son Arpit, was found hanging inside her room around noon on the previous day. According to initial reports, she is believed to have used a dupatta. A handwritten note was recovered from the room, in which she reportedly wrote, "If there is no love and trust in a relationship, what is the point of life?" The note also mentioned that she did not blame anyone for her decision.

Sources indicate that the police are looking into possible family related stress that may have contributed to the tragedy, although no official conclusion has been drawn.

Marriage and Family Background

Deepti and Arpit were married in 2010. The couple shared two children, a fourteen year old son and a five year old daughter. Friends and acquaintances described them as a well known family in the area, though investigators are now examining their personal dynamics more closely to understand what might have led to the situation.

Police teams reached the residence shortly after the family alerted authorities. Officers confirmed that Deepti's body was taken into custody and sent to Safdarjung Hospital for a post mortem examination.
