Operation Sindoor! NCERT Develops Educational Module On India's Defence And Diplomatic Strategies
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is crafting a unique educational module to educate students on India's defence tactics and diplomatic actions post the Pahalgam terror incident, as reported by PTI. This initiative aims to provide students with insights into how India manages terror threats through military and diplomatic channels.
The module will be divided into two segments: one for classes 3 to 8 and another for classes 9 to 12. It will delve into India's strategic military response following the April 22 attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. The content is designed to help students grasp the nation's coordinated efforts in addressing such threats.

Operation Sindoor: A Key Focus
On April 22, a horrific attack in Pahalgam resulted in the deaths of twenty-six individuals, marking one of the most severe incidents in recent years. In retaliation, India initiated Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist locations within Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and further into Pakistan. This operation led to a brief but intense four-day military confrontation between the two nations.
A source revealed that the module will span approximately 8 to 10 pages. It aims to educate students on how nations respond to terrorism through military strategies, diplomacy, and coordination among various ministries. This educational effort seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of national security measures.
Parliamentary Debate on Operation Sindoor
A special debate regarding Operation Sindoor is scheduled in the Lok Sabha starting Monday. This follows a week of disrupted parliamentary sessions during the Monsoon session. Opposition parties had insisted on a formal discussion about the operation from day one of the session.
The debate is expected to last for 16 hours over three days. Key figures such as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar are anticipated to deliver significant speeches during this time. Their insights will likely shed light on India's strategic decisions during Operation Sindoor.
This educational initiative by NCERT not only aims at informing students about historical events but also seeks to instill an understanding of national security dynamics. By learning about these real-world responses, students can gain valuable perspectives on how countries navigate complex geopolitical challenges.
