West Bengal: One killed, nine injured after being hit by army vehicle
Jalpaiguri (WB), Sep 16: One person was killed and nine others were injured, including four seriously, when an army vehicle hit them at Jalpai more in Siliguri today.
The army vehicle, which was on its way to Siliguri from Jalpaiguri, first hit a cyclist, then a hawker, followed by two motorcycles and lastly a van this evening, police said.

The hawker was killed on the spot after being hit by the army vehicle, the police said. Following this the police detained the army vehicle, its driver and a jawan who was in it.
The four seriously injured were rushed to North Bengal Medical College in Jalpaiguri and the rest were admitted to Siliguri hospital, the police added.
