Nitish Kumar to Take Oath as Bihar CM Tomorrow, PM Modi and Amit Shah to Attend Swearing-In Ceremony

Nitish Kumar will assume office once again as Chief Minister of Bihar on Thursday, marking his tenth term in the role after the NDA's sweeping victory in the Assembly polls.

He was chosen as the leader of the JD(U) Legislative Party and is set to be formally elected as the leader of the NDA during a meeting of alliance legislators.

NDA Leaders to Finalise Government Formation

Nitish Kumar will present a letter of support from all NDA partners to the governor as part of the process to form the new government. This step follows the alliance's strong performance in the elections, where the NDA crossed the two hundred seat mark in the two hundred forty three member Assembly.

Ceremony Planned at Gandhi Maidan

The oath taking ceremony will take place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend, alongside Union ministers and leaders from several states. The event is planned on a large scale with tight security arrangements and a significant turnout of political figures.

Alliance Registers Dominant Mandate

The NDA's commanding win saw the BJP emerge as the largest party with eighty nine seats. The JD(U) followed with eighty five seats, cementing the coalition's grip on the Assembly. The strong numbers have given the alliance a stable foundation for the next term.

Leaders from Across India to Attend

Several key figures from national politics and allied parties will be present at the swearing in. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the list of attendees, joined by senior ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Dharmendra Pradhan, CR Patil and BJP president JP Nadda. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya will also be present.

Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath, Devendra Fadnavis, Conrad Sangma, Neiphiu Rio and Chandrababu Naidu are among those expected. Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh, Maharashtra leader Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will also attend, reflecting a broad show of unity within the NDA.
