Over 500 Applicants Register For DDAs New Housing Scheme

More than 500 applicants have registered for Delhi Development Authoritys new housing scheme, which offers over 32,000 flats of different categories for sale. The scheme will close on March 31, 2024, and booking of flats will begin from December 11.

New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority's (DDA) new housing scheme, which offers over 32,000 flats of various categories for sale, has received an overwhelming response, with more than 500 applicants registering within a few hours of its launch on Friday.

Scheme Details

The Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023 involves the disposal of newly built-up or soon-to-be-completed flats through an end-to-end online system. The registration for the scheme for flats offered on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis began on November 24 and will close on March 31, 2024. The booking of these flats will commence from December 11.

Flats Available

The flats under the FCFS scheme are located at Narela, Dwarka, and Lok Nayak Puram. The scheme also includes more than 1,100 luxury flats, including penthouses, super HIGs, and HIGs at Dwarka 19B overlooking the upcoming DDA golf course. These luxury flats will be sold through e-auction.

Registration Process

The registration for flats to be sold through e-auction will begin from November 30. To book a flat under the scheme, applicants need to pay the booking amount online. The DDA has also introduced a minimal charge of Rs 1.50 to Rs 2.50 per square feet per month on the plinth area for the regular day-to-day recurring maintenance of the housing pocket.

The DDA's Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023 has generated significant interest among homebuyers, with over 500 registrations recorded within the first day of its launch. The scheme offers a wide range of flats in different categories and locations, providing an opportunity for people to own a home in the national capital.
