Rewards On Chhattisgarh Naxalites

Two of the arrested Naxalites carried a bounty of Rs 2 lakh each. According to police officials, Madvi was the president of the Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Majdoor Sangathan (DAKMS) under the Metaguda Revolutionary Party Committee (RPC). Their involvement in various violent activities was noted.

The five Naxalites were implicated in the murder of a villager earlier this year. They accused him of being a police informer. Jatti was also linked to several other instances of Maoist violence, highlighting their active participation in unlawful activities.

NIA Sentences in Jharkhand

In a separate incident in Ranchi, Jharkhand, a National Investigation Agency (NIA) court sentenced two men to 15 years in prison for supplying weapons to Naxals. This case dates back to an arms and ammunition seizure in 2012 involving CPI (Maoist) members.

The case pertains to Hazaribagh where Prafulla Malakar was arrested from Silodar Forest near Chauparan in August 2012. The police seized an M-16 rifle, live rounds, mobile phones, and a bulletproof jacket from Malakar. He was part of the arms supply unit for the banned CPI (Maoist).

Anil Kumar Yadav from Gaya district also received varying sentences and fines related to this case. The court's decision underscores ongoing efforts to curb illegal arms distribution among extremist groups.
