Mumbai Police Receive Terror Threat To Blow Up PM Modi, Narendra Modi Stadium In Ahmedabad
A terror threat email was received by the Mumbai police on Thursday night, threatening to blow up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, where several ICC Men's Cricket World Cup matches are scheduled. The email also demanded a ransom of Rs 500 crore and the release of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
The email also indicated that the terrorist group had already positioned individuals to execute these threats. Presently, Lawrence Bishnoi is incarcerated in Mandoli Jail, Delhi.

According to police, the initial threat email was sent to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and seemed to originate from Europe. The NIA promptly informed the Mumbai police about the situation.
A police official stated, "We received the email from the NIA, which has also alerted other relevant agencies. We are working to trace the email's source and it appears to have originated in Europe. While it may be a hoax or the work of someone in a foreign country playing mischief, we are actively pursuing the sender. We will review and enhance the security for all cricket matches as needed."
The email sent to the NIA carried a message: "We will blow up Narendra Modi and the Narendra Modi Stadium as well if the government fails to pay us ₹500 crore and release Lawrence Bishnoi. Everything is for sale in Hindustan, and we've acquired something too. Regardless of the level of security, you won't be safe from us. If you wish to communicate, do so via this email."
Meanwhile, a case has already been registered against Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who had previously issued threats regarding the World Cup matches. He had also vowed to seek retribution for the assassination of Shaheed Nijar three weeks earlier.
