The Mumbai Police on Monday reached Surat to search for the gun which the accused used in firing at the actor's house after the accused had confessed that they had thrown the gun in the river after committing the crime.

At around 5 am on April 14, two men arrived on a motorbike and fired four shots outside the Galaxy Apartments, where the actor lives, before fleeing the scene. CCTV footage revealed that both individuals were wearing caps and carrying backpacks.

The authorities have registered the case under IPC 506(2) (threatening), 115 (abetment), and 201 (tampering with evidence) have been added in the case. Mumbai Crime Branch officials disclosed that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi have been declared wanted accused in connection in the case.

Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the incident through a Facebook post following the attack.

Subsequently, the Kutch Police apprehended the two suspects, who were later handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch. A local court then remanded them to the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch until April 25 in connection with the shooting.

The accused, identified as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) from Bihar, were brought before the court following a medical examination.

Earlier, on April 15, Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan's brother, took to Instagram to issue a statement on behalf of their family regarding the "disturbing" incident, expressing its impact on the family.
