Microsoft 365 Down: Global Outage Hits Product Suite, Users Report Issues
Users worldwide experienced difficulties accessing Microsoft Corp's popular product suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as reports of an outage flooded in from hundreds of frustrated individuals.

Taking to micro-blogging platform Twitter, Microsoft wrote, "We're investigating an issue with accessing Outlook on the web." The company assured users that it was actively reviewing its networking systems and recent updates in an attempt to identify the root cause of the problem.
Furthermore, Microsoft disclosed that the outage was having downstream effects on other services within its ecosystem. "We've identified downstream impact for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business. We're providing full impact details and updates for those services via MO571683. Updates pertaining to Exchange and Outlook on the web will continue to be provided via EX571516," the company stated in a tweet.
At the time of reporting, Microsoft had not responded to a request from Reuters seeking comment on the outage reports regarding Microsoft 365.
This incident marks at least the third notable outage affecting Microsoft services since the beginning of the year. Downdetector, a platform that tracks outages by aggregating status reports from multiple sources, including users, indicated a widespread disruption in Microsoft's product suite.
Several users took to Twitter to express their grievances and raise complaints with Microsoft, highlighting the impact the outage had on their productivity and daily operations.
As the outage investigation continues, Microsoft is working diligently to resolve the issue and restore normal functionality to its suite of products. Users are advised to stay tuned for further updates from the company regarding the ongoing situation.
