Meerut Murder Case: Sahil Shukla Restless Without Marijuana, Muskan Rastogi Demands Morphine In Prison

Sahil Shukla exhibited extreme restlessness without marijuana, while Muskan Rastogi persistently demanded morphine injections in prison. Both accused in the gruesome Meerut murder case of merchant navy employee Saurabh Rajput are battling severe drug addiction in jail, experiencing intense withdrawal symptoms and refusing food in an attempt to obtain narcotics.

'Severe Drug Dependency'
A jail official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, described their addiction as severe, stating that extra precautions have been implemented to prevent them from harming themselves or others.

Meerut Murder Case Sahil Shukla Restless Without Marijuana Muskan Rastogi Demands Morphine In Prison

Muskan, along with her lover Sahil, brutally stabbed her husband Saurabh Rajput to death on March 4. In an attempt to dispose of the body, they dismembered it and concealed the remains in a drum filled with cement. To cover their tracks, the duo fled to Himachal Pradesh, where they stayed until March 17 before returning to Meerut.

During their time in Himachal, the couple allegedly indulged in celebrations, playing Holi, cutting a cake, and posing for photos in the snow, showing no remorse for their crime.

Accused Demand Marijuana, Morphine in Jail
Following their arrest, Muskan and Sahil were remanded to judicial custody. On her very first night in jail, Muskan's health began to deteriorate. Upon medical examination, doctors diagnosed her with severe drug addiction and immediately initiated treatment.

Sahil caused chaos within the prison, aggressively demanding drugs. He displayed extreme restlessness without access to marijuana, while Muskan insisted on receiving morphine injections, sources confirmed on Saturday. Authorities further revealed that both had a history of using injectable drugs, which has now led to severe withdrawal symptoms.

The jail's de-addiction center has taken charge of their treatment, closely monitoring them to manage withdrawal effects. The prison's medical team remains on high alert to ensure their health and safety.

Sources indicated that, alongside their desperate pleas for narcotics, the two accused have refused to eat-an expected symptom of withdrawal. Medical experts estimate that it will take at least ten days for them to regain some stability.
