Muskan Rastogi Receives Medical Care in Jail Following Pregnancy Confirmation Amid Murder Case

Muskan Rastogi, the main suspect in the murder of her husband Saurabh Rajput, is set to receive specialised medical attention in jail due to her confirmed pregnancy. Officials revealed this development on Friday. Senior Jail Superintendent Dr. Viresh Raj Sharma stated that an ultrasound at a medical college confirmed Muskan's pregnancy, estimated between four to six weeks.

Muskan had previously undergone an initial medical examination suggesting she might be pregnant. The ultrasound has now verified this, according to Dr. Sharma. Following this confirmation, jail authorities have arranged for her to receive care as per the guidelines for pregnant inmates. This includes regular health check-ups and nutritional support.

Pregnancy Care for Inmates

Dr. Sharma explained that Muskan will receive treatment and monitoring from specialists, ensuring her health is closely observed during her time in custody. She was taken to the medical college around 11:45 am on Friday by a police team and a pharmacist and returned to jail by 1:30 pm after the examination.

Officials noted that no family members have visited Muskan in jail so far. Her arrest, along with her lover Sahil Shukla, occurred on March 19 in connection with Saurabh Rajput's murder. The couple allegedly killed Saurabh, dismembered his body into four parts, and concealed it in a cement-filled drum.

Details of the Arrest

After committing the crime, Muskan and Sahil reportedly fled to Himachal Pradesh. However, Muskan eventually confessed to her family, leading to their arrest. Both are currently held in judicial custody, according to police statements.

The case has drawn significant attention due to its gruesome nature and the subsequent developments involving Muskan's pregnancy while in custody. Authorities continue to follow protocols for handling such situations within the prison system.
