Tragic Incident: Man Dies as Building Facade Collapses During Rain in Lucknow

A tragic incident occurred when a 23-year-old man lost his life after part of a commercial building collapsed. He was seeking shelter from the rain under the structure on Friday, according to police reports. The accident happened around 4 pm at the Cyber Tower in Gomti Nagar's Vibhuti Khand area.

The victim, identified as Ravi Kumar Verma from Shiv Vihar in Barabanki district, had visited a friend working at the Cyber Tower. As he was leaving, heavy rain started, prompting him to stand under the building's facade for cover. Unfortunately, a section of the structure gave way, causing severe injuries.

Heavy Rainfall and Its Consequences

Uttar Pradesh's capital experienced significant rainfall on Friday evening, including areas like Gomti Nagar. This weather event provided some respite from the intense humidity but also resulted in waterlogging across various locations.

Ravi was quickly transported to a hospital with assistance from local police and bystanders. However, medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival. The police officer stated that no formal complaint has been lodged yet regarding this incident.
