Man Arrested For Sexually Harassing Co-passenger In Air India Delhi-Goa Flight
A 23-year-old man was detained by Goa Police for allegedly sexually harassing a female co-passenger on a flight from Delhi to Goa. The incident reportedly took place on an Air India flight between 11 am and 1.20 pm on Tuesday, according to officials.
The woman, aged 28 and residing in Janakpuri, New Delhi, lodged a complaint with the police. She claimed that the man seated next to her behaved inappropriately during the flight. As per her statement, he pulled a blanket and intentionally left it open towards her while engaging in the objectionable act, as mentioned in the FIR.

Accused Arrested at Goa Airport
Upon landing at Goa International Airport in Dabolim, South Goa, the woman reported the incident to the police. Subsequently, Dabolim airport police arrested Jitender Jangian from Panipat, Haryana. A senior police official confirmed this development.
The accused faces charges under sections 75 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. These sections pertain to sexual harassment and actions intended to insult a woman's modesty through verbal insults, inappropriate gestures, or invasion of privacy.
The case highlights ongoing concerns about passenger safety on flights. It underscores the importance of addressing such incidents promptly to ensure justice for victims and maintain public confidence in air travel security.
Authorities continue their investigation into this matter. They aim to gather all necessary evidence and testimonies to support the charges against Jitender Jangian.
