Major Outage: X (Twitter), Jio, Google, Snapchat, Amazon Prime, Others Down in India

In a surprising turn of events, X (formerly Twitter), Jio, Airtel, Google, Telegram, and several other major online services faced widespread outages across India, leaving millions of users frustrated and disconnected. The outage, which started around 1:44 pm IST, affected a wide range of services, disrupting normalcy for users across the country.

According to reports from the outage tracker Downdetector, users have taken to the platform to report issues with a handful of online platforms. According to Downdetector, over 54 percent of the complaints are related to mobile internet issues, 38 percent are experiencing problems with Jio Fiber, and 7 percent are facing disruptions with mobile networks.

Twitter users were unable to tweet or access their timelines, with the platform displaying error messages. Jio and Airtel users reported difficulties in accessing the internet and making calls, while Google services such as Gmail, Google Drive, and YouTube experienced disruptions.

Snapchat users were unable to send or receive snaps, and Amazon Prime users faced issues while streaming content.

Some users posted in X (formerly Twitter) to express anger over Jio outage. One wrote, "#Jio network is down for Google, Swiggy & major websites. Whereas, WhatsApp seem to be working okay."

However, Jio is yet to make any response about the glitch officially. This isn't the first time a Jio outage has caused problems for users. In April, Jio users experienced a similar issue where they couldn't access the internet or use social media platforms. The same problems are being reported now, and users are seeking a fix for the Jio network downtime.
